The Flyers play in one of the most hallowed arenas in all of sports tonight, or so I'm told. UD takes on Fordham in Madison Square Garden this evening. I will say this, though, and you can bank on it. Tiger Woods will at some point go into rehab for sex addiction like that dude from the X-Files did. Think about it: If you cheat on your wife with one chick, you just made a mistake and maybe she gets over it, maybe not. If you're having dozens of ongoing affairs with women all over the country, if not the world, it's a little tougher to backpedal your way out of that. So does he admit he's a scum bag and a downright despicable human being? No way, he's Tiger; his image can't take that hit. But if you're addicted to something, if you physically and psychologically have to have it, if you've lost all control of yourself, it makes it easier for us, the public, to stomach. Some time in 2010 Tiger Woods tackles his "addiction to sex."
What can I say? I'm that good.

ReplyDeleteDo I get any gold stars for opining that Tiger Woods was a giant phoney and a lying tool -- and not the super-nice, well-adjusted role model everybody claimed he was -- some 6-7 years ago after I saw him do an interview on some late night talk show or another? We're talking fricking *2003* here, people!
ReplyDeleteMy Douche Radar just went off the charts that night (I have a gift for reading people in that regard), and it continued to register a high reading anytime I saw Tiger after that. I was the least-surprised person in America when all this hit last month. Saw it coming a mile away. I can provide documentation, if necessary.
Now: the fact that his hot wife is apparently mentally ill in her own right? I had no idea about that. My prognosticatory powers have limits....
