18 points and 15 rebounds from Chris Johnson? 25 and 8 from Flyers Jesus? 0 and 1 from Kurt Huelsman? It all happened Saturday. The Flyers overcame a pretty poor first half of play, outscored a game Creighton team 49-34 in the second half, and came away with a win in the season opener. Tim's last post highlighted (overstated?) the importance of getting that W against the Blue Jays.
Riding high from UD's 1-0 start, Tim and I got together for a little podcast. During it we discuss Chris Johnson's beastliness, the blueprint for beating the Flyers, a Puerto Rico preview and much much more.
And don't forget to follow us on twitter under the name UDFlyers.
The podcasts are solid. Good production.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Tim on 3-0. I'm hoping the intensity of the Creighton game has us more "game ready" than Ga Tech, who opened with a cupcake.
Enjoy PR. Go Flyers.
My favorite part is when Tim calls Villanova a fluke Final Four team and goes on to give absolutely no explanation of his statement. You can't get hard hitting basketball analysis like that just anywhere.
ReplyDeleteMy second favorite part: that 2 college educated people have no clue what time zone Puerto Rico is in AND are only vaguely aware of how the concept of time zones works.
It's because of that coast to coast shot from the hip their guard made to get them there. I watched it at a bar - so I remember.
ReplyDeletePuerto Rico is one hour ahead of us - so as I post this at 9:54 it is currently 10:54 in PR. I thought since PR is south of Florida it would be on Eastern time zone as well.

Weather looks good
I still have not figured out what Tim meant by it works "equatorly," but he recovered well.
